You can also enable the “GPU Engine” option to see which GPU engine an application is using. This adds a GPU column that lets you see the percentage of GPU resources each application is using.
In the full view of Task Manager, on the “Processes” tab, right-click any column header, and then enable the “GPU” option. Open the Processes tab, and to add the GPU column, right-click one of the column headers and choose the “GPU” option - you can also add “GPU Engine” if you want. If you aren’t at 100% at some point while playing the game then you are either playing a much older game, using too low of graphics settings, or your CPU isn’t strong enough (you’re totally fine). You want to use 100% of your GPU while gaming. Click the monitoring tab then click the checkmark beside the metric you want to display and click the checkbox for “Show in On-Screen Display” in the “properties” section and click the “Apply” button.
In the MSI Afterburner interface, click the gear icon to open the settings window. For those who don’t know, setting a program’s priority higher will give it more cpu time, resulting in a boost in cpu performance.
The solution is to set games as “high” priority in task manager.
